DJ Paulie Day – 30 Years of Experience with Bars, Clubs, Pubs, Lounges and Events

Paulie Day’s DJ career began in 1988 in Atlantic City, where a young and driven DJ quickly found his place in the city’s vibrant nightlife scene. It was at the legendary Chez Paree Nightclub that Paulie forged a mentorship with industry legend Charlie Bucci (aka Buckeye), who gave him his first guest spot opportunity, helped refine his skills, and played a key role in building his early reputation. As his talent grew, Paulie began spinning at some of Atlantic City’s hottest venues, including Grables, Studio 6, Rascals (Teen Dance), and Crazy Janes—ranked the #1 nightclub in South Jersey by Atlantic City Magazine in 1990.

Eager to expand his reach beyond Atlantic City, Paulie set his sights on Philadelphia, quickly carving out a name for himself on the legendary Delaware Avenue nightlife scene. He opened up and was the main DJ at The Aztec Club (1991–1993), one of the city’s most iconic and high-energy nightclubs of the era. Known for its electric atmosphere and packed dance floors, and fire breathing dragons!? IYKYK. Aztec provided the perfect stage for Paulie’s dynamic style and crowd-reading instincts.

Every weekend, Paulie set the tone as resident DJ, rocking the dancefloor with seamless mixes and escalating energy. His versatility, precision, and feel for the crowd soon made him an essential part of the club’s lineup. Beyond the weekend madness, Paulie also helped shape what became a truly legendary Sunday night alongside Philadelphia radio and nightlife icon Jerry Blavat — a collaboration that drew loyal crowds and created unforgettable memories. As the closing DJ from midnight to 2AM, Paulie owned the most intense hours of the night, delivering peak-energy sets to crowds packed wall-to-wall. The dance floor was at full throttle, the room buzzing with energy, and Paulie Day was at the center of it all — locking in his reputation as a DJ who could command a big room and leave a lasting impression.

Following the success of his residency at Aztec, Paulie was invited to become a resident DJ at the legendary Egypt on the Waterfront (1993–1995), where he helped drive the energy of one of Philadelphia’s most iconic mega-clubs. With its massive main room and crowds numbering in the thousands, Egypt marked a defining chapter in his career. During this same period, Paulie also opened and performed as one of the resident DJs at Deco Afterhours Nightclub. He further expanded his reach through a partnership with Q102, contributing to the station’s live mix show in 1994 and 1995. VIPs packed these nightlife hotspots every weekend, and Paulie Day was at the center of it all. After his time at Egypt, Paulie continued building momentum with guest appearances, private events, and multiple residencies throughout the tri-state area.

In 2000, Paulie took on another pivotal role as resident DJ at Top Dog Nightclub in Cherry Hill (2000–2004, with on-and-off residencies and guest appearances through 2013). Here, he played an instrumental role in shaping the musical identity that helped make the club legendary. He was the original DJ for the infamous Q102 Tuesdays with host Diego, while also commanding the area’s hottest Friday and Saturday night parties.

In 2004, Paulie seized an opportunity to return to Atlantic City, where the nightlife scene was once again thriving. He was hired as Saturday night resident DJ at the Trump Taj Mahal’s Starbar on the outside deck of the Casbah Nightclub. During his first summer, Paulie set the tone for what an outside deck party was supposed to be like in AC til early hours of the morning. The following year, he was invited to move inside the Casbah as Saturday resident (2005–2010). During this era, Paulie also performed at numerous notable venues in AC, including The Borgata, Harrah’s Pool, Foundation Room, Club Worship, The Chelsea, Trump Beach Bar, and The Disco Nightclub.

After leaving Atlantic City in 2013, Paulie remained a sought-after DJ, balancing several residencies with a busy private event schedule. From 2014 to 2020, his residencies included The Deck at Harbor Point, VUE Nightclub AC, Adelphia Nightclub, and The Village Pub, along with countless guest spots, private events, and weddings.

Most recently, beyond his continued appearances in the club and bar scene, Paulie has headlined private parties, weddings, and exclusive VIP events—delivering high-energy performances and eclectic mixes that keep dance floors alive.

With over three decades behind the decks, Paulie Day remains a beloved fixture in the DJ community and continues to set the standard for unforgettable events.
